Police man who fatally shot an Okada Rider in Ondo state, arrested, to face murder charges in court


A Police man who shot dead a motorcyclist in Ondo state over an alleged N50 bribe, has been arrested. On Sunday morning Sept. 4th, a source revealed that a police officer in Ondo State shot dead a commercial motorcyclist at Omifun on the Benin-Ore Expressway in the state. There was an allegation that the



 bribe-seeking police officer attached to the anti-crime patrol unit of the Ondo State Police Command shot man for allegedly refusing to give him a bribe of N50, and immediately fled the scene with his colleagues. (Read here ) The said Inspector has since been arrested and his service riffle recovered. The Orderly-Room trial (Departmental Court) of this arrested Inspector held on Tuesday 6th September and this is to pave way for his criminal prosecution for Murder in the law court within the next 48hrs. The Commissioner of Police, Ondo State Command has since opened a direct line of communication with the families of the victim and the community. The Ondo State Police Command is also providing necessary palliative to concerned relatives and persons at this period.
